Privacy-First Guarantee: Wend does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information (PII). All word search boards, traced word paths, daily streaks, and user preferences are stored strictly locally on your Android device.

Mind Linked Play ("we," "our," or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the Wend mobile application (the "App", package name: com.MindLinkedPlay.wend).

1. Local Game Data

Wend is designed so your game experience belongs entirely to you. All game progress, active puzzle boards, completed words, streaks, elapsed times, and user preferences (such as auto-lock and timer visibility) are stored strictly locally on your device storage. We do not maintain user accounts, profiles, or external database records of your gameplay.

2. Permissions & Features

Wend does not request sensitive device permissions (such as camera, microphone, contacts, location, or personal photo/file storage). It requests standard operational capabilities:

  • Internet & Network State: Used solely to serve in-game advertisements through Google AdMob, fetch dictionary word definitions on demand, and check connectivity status.
  • Vibration: Used to provide subtle haptic feedback when tracing letter paths and completing words.
  • Notifications: Used for optional local daily puzzle reminders if enabled.

3. Third-Party Services & Advertising

Wend uses trusted third-party services that may automatically collect technical diagnostics and device identifiers in accordance with their respective privacy policies:

  • Google AdMob: Serves banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads (for unlocking hints). Google AdMob may collect and process your device's advertising identifier, IP address (for coarse geographic region), and interaction data to serve relevant ads. You can manage or reset your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads at any time via Settings > Google > Ads on your Android device.
  • Google Firebase: Collects anonymous crash telemetry and performance metrics to help us fix bugs and ensure stability.

4. Data Security

Because we do not store personal data on remote servers, your private data is not exposed to external database breaches. All communications between the App and third-party advertising or definition services are secured using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit.

5. Children's Privacy

Wend is a general-audience word puzzle game and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revisions will be reflected on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
